Our local team of licensed and certified independent auto appraisers and adjusters have the experience and knowledge to handle all your vehicle appraisal and valuation services.

Insurance Appraisal Services (IAS) was founded in Portland, Oregon in 1975 by Tim Deering to provide expert auto and property appraisal services. Tim started his career with two leading insurance carriers after serving four years in the Marine Corps. After a decade in various management roles, he returned to the Pacific Northwest to start IAS, which quickly became known for its service and quality. In 1985, Terry and Debbie Earl opened a second office in Seattle, Washington. By 2015, Brandon and Lisa Earl purchased the original IAS office from Tim Deering, and in 2017, they acquired the Seattle office from Rob and Candy Marinelli.

Today, IAS is one of the largest independent appraisal and adjusting firms in the Pacific Northwest.

Brandon and Lisa Earl, natives of the northwest with strong connections to Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, own and run Insurance Appraisal Services of Oregon & Washington. Both are licensed adjusters in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho and bring over 20 years of insurance claims expertise. Their experience covers every type of claim, including material & property damage, Diminution of Value, and Disputed Value/Appraisal Clause matters.

Brandon has personally inspected, appraised, and handled over 30,000 claims, building the firm's clientele to include some of the world's largest insurance companies. A native of Portland, Brandon, has been with Insurance Appraisal Services since 2004 and currently oversees all appraisal operations. Lisa, originally from Pullman, graduated from the University of Washington and manages all business operations. Before beginning his career at IAS, Brandon was mentored by Terry Earl, who managed multiple independent collision repair centers in the greater Portland area. This training provided Brandon with a comprehensive understanding of the collision repair industry and vehicle appraisal processes. Brandon is a certified Oregon auto appraiser with extensive experience in Diminished Value and Disputed Value "Appraisal Clause Claims."
